Since I was a child, I have gone through various sports and body practices, which sparked my interest in the body. I studied Clinical Psychology in order to understand this integration of the body with emotions, with the mind, with Being and with the human soul. As time went on, I found that the body is doubly important, for it is the basis and means for Being. I also noticed a significant gap between what is said and what is done. Sometimes actions take time to happen and people are in a vicious mental cycle.

When I finished my degree in 2003, I realized that 5 years of course would not be sufficient to understand this relationship that we establish with our body.

So, between 2003 and 2005 I decided to deepen my study by specializing in sport and physical activity psychology. I took courses and experienced various psychotherapies plus body therapies, as a way to develop and better understand the human form so I could help people.

I also attained a master’s degree in social psychology (2007 – 2009) and kept looking for a method, a theory that could comprehend the body in a global way to help integrate the practice of clinical psychology with the physical form.

In 2010 I was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma and was in treatment for almost a year. My mind knew I would not die, but my body suffered a lot from chemotherapy, which made me realize its extreme importance. It is the basis and means for the mind and other energetic spheres to express itself. Having passed this episode (I give thanks every day for staying alive) I decided to develop a way that would encompass both mind and body, while I continued to increase my knowledge of the biological, anatomical, physiological and bio-mechanical functioning of the bone, articular and muscular structures.

Eventually I found Antigymnastics® and when I practiced this, I realized that this body method also had a psychological effect; it reverberated both in the emotions and in the mind.  It also contributed to the relief of my back, shoulder and lower back pain.

Finally I had found a method that answered all my questions! It is a functioning system that incorporates the body, emotions and mind, with actions and movements that go beyond the verbal approach of traditional psychology. It is a subtle and powerful work that respects human physiology and anatomy, has no contraindications, contributes to everyone from professional athletes to sedentary people, contributes to pain relief, aiming at flexibility and autonomy (body, mental and emotional). After experiencing the technique and seeing the results, I decided to do the training in 2016. Now as a certified practitioner, I am here to contribute to your health!
